Say hello to 1.4.0
We have worked super hard on this latest update to bring a whole range of new features to the watch. From practical things like a timer to the addition of walking as its own activity profile.
Our newest mobile app version is also now available: Version 2.2.2
New Features
New apps: Timer, Stopwatch & Walking
Two handy utilities, Timer and Stopwatch, plus a dedicated Walking activity alongside your other sports.
Shorter activity names
Activities are now Bike, Hike, Run and Walk for quicker recognition on the watch.
Auto-pause for cycling
Cycling now pauses automatically when you stop and resumes when you get moving again, so your ride stats stay accurate at junctions and lights.
Active minutes
The watch now tracks your moderate-intensity active minutes, following WHO activity guidance.
App widgets on the watch face
Apps can now show a live widget on the watch face; for example, the new Timer displays its countdown, with the remaining time and a progress bar, right on your watch face while it runs.
Faster Bluetooth transfers
App and firmware transfers over Bluetooth are noticeably quicker and more reliable.
Longer intervals
Interval durations can now be set up to an hour.
Quicker treadmill calibration
The Calibrate & Save distance picker is wider and faster to use.
Improvements
Mute really means mute
Muting alerts now silences vibration as well as sound, and stops the screen lighting up for notifications while muted.
More accurate summaries
Elevation gain reflects your true climbing across all summaries, paused time no longer counts toward your stats, and max speed ignores spurious GPS spikes before a fix.
Steadier live pace
Your live pace reading is smoothed so it's less jumpy.
Correct device identity in exports
Activities now carry UNA's registered device identity, so they are attributed correctly in Strava and similar.
Back to the menu when you exit an app
Closing an app returns you straight to the launcher.
macOS storage support
The watch's storage now shows up correctly when connected to a Mac.
Reliability & Bug fixes
More reliable sensors: a sensor that drops out mid-activity now recovers on its own (including in Workout).
More reliable Bluetooth transfers: dropped data is detected and re-sent, and an interrupted transfer no longer corrupts the file.
Corrected app icons: the Timer and Stopwatch icons are no longer swapped.
General stability: various fixes across alerts, app switching, and background tasks.
