Today we are announcing a price reduction for UNA Watch, and because of that, I wanted to take the time to explain our decision to everyone who’s supported us on this journey so far.
From the very beginning, we’ve tried to be as transparent as possible with all of our major decisions, and this feels like another one we need to talk about.
From today, the watch will be priced at: £179 / $199 / €199
Why have we made this decision?
As a young company, we are still learning about buyer behaviours, and our most recent research has revealed that this new price will appeal to a wider audience, in turn opening UNA up to users who might otherwise have been nervous about switching from the more established brands in the space. Simply put, we want to get UNA on more wrists in order to demonstrate that a GPS sports watch can be repairable and charged with a standard USB-C cable, all whilst still offering all of the key features you need.
Additionally, we feel that this price makes UNA more accessible to athletes who are just discovering a new sport for the first time, alongside perhaps purchasing their first GPS watch.
Of course, our aim is still to build a product for athletes of all skill levels. We remain inspired by those performing at the highest level and will continue to develop our more advanced features, while making sure UNA works for everyone - from beginners to pros.
Finally, we have also seen increasing support from the developer/open-source community, and this is a user base we are aiming to nurture further. It is immensely fun creating your own apps for the watch, and more developers means more apps for the wider community in our app store.
Our belief is that we are moving towards an era where hyper-personalisation matters more than anything, and we’d love to be the hardware of choice for those looking to create new features and experiences that help them improve their overall health.
So, has anything changed with the watch?
Absolutely not - the watch specifications remain the same. UNA is still the only modular, repairable GPS sports watch out there that actually empowers its users to replace components on their watch. The watch firmware continues to evolve, with new features and software updates released constantly.
The recent addition of the UNA app store has been a big success, with community-developed apps like a parkrun barcode, sunrise & sunset times and even mini-games proving to be a real hit for our users. Internally, we are currently working on navigation, more integrations and also ways to make creating your own apps even easier.
We’re more dedicated to building the best possible product than ever, and at its core we will always strive to build products that are open.
Once you own an UNA watch, that is merely the start of your journey. We have a public roadmap and do our best to always take on user feedback in everything we release. We also have amazing customer support, with queries answered promptly by REAL HUMANS!
Now, one downside of a price reduction is that if you are one of the users who’ve recently purchased UNA, you may feel disappointed, and I completely understand.

In summary, we think that this new price represents incredible value for users, considering all the features the watch already has, and will have with the updates we have planned.
This, combined with the ability to open up the watch for many years to come, with spare parts already listed on our website, hopefully demonstrates how much we want to empower our community.
